Monjeni wins on his first run at Lingfield

Monjeni made his first start at Lingfield a winning one when he got up in the final 50 yards to beat Rydan by a short-head under a strong ride from Fran Berry.

Held up off modest early fractions, the pace quickened up with half a mile to run.

Monjeni ran wide off the final bend, but a sustained run in the home straight got him home in a photo finish,
