October Newsletter

It has been another memorable period with a double at Plumpton and Midtech Star providing me with my first outright two year old winner.

There has also been a lot of reaction in the racing community to my recent blog post about the current state of the Racing Post.

It is a sad state of affairs that our only industry daily publication has descended into a second class product through its inability to negotiate for access to essential data.

But this is a time to be positive and look forward for the yard. We have key jumps meetings coming up at Chepstow and Cheltenham in the next two weeks, marking the proper start of the jumps season.

I can't remember a season when I've so positive about my prospects of enjoying regular success - there really are a terrific group of horses in the yard at the moment.

I am running a 'five to follow' competition for the National Hunt season, and details can be found on the website. Don't forget that entries close on Saturday 11th October.
