The Yard

Five star stables

With the new block completed there are over 100 stables available, with the impressive main stable yard comprising of 78 purpose built stables.

The Hill Gallop

For conditioning, fast work and schooling

Our stiff uphill straight gallop is used for conditioning and fast work and the lower stretch provides the schooling fences for our chasers.

The Round Gallop

For cantering, conditioning and schooling

Our four-furlong round gallop at the top of the hill provides an ideal all-weather surface for cantering and faster work, plus is used for schooling over hurdles.

Stable Blocks

In addition to the main yard with its 13 barns, we built a brand new stable block and large new barn in 2018, taking the total number of horses housed to well over 100.

Equine Pool

Ideal for rehabilitation and fitness

Purpose built equine pool with a ramp leading to a circular pool 3.5 metres deep. Equine swimming is popular with the rehabilitation and fitness of racehorses as swimming is a strenuous exercise and also is great resistance training for a sound horse. Ian has successfully used the pool with a large number of horses who have had leg injuries or issues.

Indoor School

International sized indoor arena

Using the old all-weather surface from Wolverhampton, this area is an ideal facility for the horses to warm up before they go out to canter and gallop. In bad weather, this space is used to pop horses over hurdles and for the youngsters to pass through a set of starting stalls.
